Derelict 18th century farmhouse in Allgäu has been lovingly restored

Gitta Pieck and her husband Richard Steinacker found their dream home at the foot of the Rubihorn mountain, in the Iller valley. It was a sadly dilapidated 18th century farmhouse which had been empty for years. Gitta felt it had a sense of history – it had withstood many harsh Bavarian winters and she and Richard felt strongly the house deserved to be brought back to life.
